On May 11, the Boston Bruins received the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmental Merit Award for their efforts in food waste recovery and prevention. Press Release below:

The Buffalo Sabres, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders and New York Rangers have been selected by the United States Environmental Protection Agency Region 2 as recipients of the 2011 Environmental Quality Award in recognition of their participation in the Rock and Wrap It Up! food recovery program.

Islanders and Rock and Wrap it Up! are recognized for environmental and community contributions in their region
