Census Finds 146 Million Americans in Need Since 2009, the number of hungry Americans has grown by four million, according to a report from the Census Bureau. This startling statistic does not surprise us. Every day we are asked to help feed those newly in need. Our work has never been more important nor timely.

Boardwalk Serves Up Good Food

The wildly popular Boardwalk Empire Season 2 has launched on HBO, and Rock and Wrap It Up! volunteers have watched it from the sidelines since March 2011 when filming began all around the New York / New Jersey area. For the second season, food prepared but not served has been recovered by agencies working with RWU.

Feeding America Conference Syd Mandelbaum was a Keynote Speaker for the Feeding America Conference on October 10, 2011 in Chicago. He spoke to over 400 people representing 150 Food Banks from across the US. Feeding America will encourage all of the Food Banks they work with to enroll in Hungerpedia.com.
